The Academy of Medical Sciences, Pariyaram started Pariyaram Dental College in 2004 as per the letter of permission No Fno.V.12017/9/2002-PMS ,Ministry of Health and F.W. of Govt. of India dated 16-sept 2004 as per the recommendation of Dental Council of India. This is the first Dental College in Kannur District ,which has a population of 25 lakhs. College offers 41/2 year Course of Bachelor of Dental Surgery which is affiliated to Kannur University. College provides educational facility in the field of Dentistry to the people of Kannur District and Kerala state. The Dental College has all the modern Dental treatment facilities. There is OPG X-Ray, Modern Dental equipments, specialty clinics in Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Oral Medicine, Conservative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Paedodontics and Periodontics. The people in and around this area make use of the treatment facilities in the College.

All the courses offered are approved by competent authority. The institution aims to offer several courses in various areas of medical science and is set to launch PG courses in near future.College is affiliated to Kannur University, established by the Act 22 of 1996 of Kerala Legislative Assembly.It is approved by Dental Council of India, which is a Statutory Body incorporated under an Act of Parliament viz. The Dentists Act, 1948 (XVI of 1948) to regulate the Dental Education and the profession of Dentistry throughout India .
Course: Bachelor of Dental Surgery Course (BDS)
Admission to the BDS course of this Institution is made according to the directions and regulations of this Institution and as per the directions of Government of Kerala and Kannur University. These are subject to change as may be considered necessary from time to time by the Institution ,the Government of Kerala and Kannur University
